Tv personality, nightlife superstar and stand up comedian,Jonny McGovern is best known as part of the cast of LOGO's "Big Gay Sketch Show" and for his comedy music videos as his naughty yet gay empowering character "The Gay Pimp" (originally created as an answer to homophobic rap lyrics) He starred on Comedy Central's "Out On The Edge" with Alan Cumming, numerous Vh-1 and MTV specials including "Totally Gayer" and "My Coolest Years", Tru Tv's "Smoking Gun" series and was a correspondent for the final season of the ever classy "Ricki Lake Show" solidifying his ghetto superstar status, before landing the show he became best known for , he was handpicked by Rosie O'Donnell as a cast member on LOGO's hit series "The Big Gay Sketch Show" for 3 fabulous seasons. Jonny has graced the cover of countless fag mags and headlined at prides, nightclubs and theaters across this gay nation and his solo multi-character show DIRTY STUFF was nominated for a GLAAD Media award as Best NY Theater Production as well being recently revived for sold out critically acclaimed runs at Them NYC International Fringe Festival and The Orlando Fringe Festival where is was named one of "the Best of The Fest"

Jonny's original character creation "The Gay Pimp' became an Internet and international phenomenon after recording 2 hit CD's "Dirty Gay Hits" and "Gays Gone WILD". Jonny teamed up with Broadway veteran Richard Jay-Alexander (Les Miz, Bette Midler's Kiss My Brass tour) and Director Peter Martinez to created a video for his satirical song "Soccer Practice" which debuted in the top five of the National Video Club chart and was downloaded over 2.2 million times from GayPimp.com and well as getting play on MTV Europe and MTV Asia.

Jonny's follow up comedy music videos "Lookin' Cute Feelin' Cute","Somethin' for The Fellas(That Like The Fellas)" "Don't Fall in Love With a Homo" "Bossy Bottom". " Likin Big Dicks"were downloaded millions of times, mentions by Perez Hilton and Bravo's Andy Cohen. received worldwide video airplay and each spent multiple weeks at #1 on MTV/Logo's Click List Video Countdown. As a stand up Jonny has been top billed at Caroline's on Broadway, The Improv and The Laugh Factory had his shows produced Off Broadway and at various theaters around the country to rave reviews and has been published by Dramatic Publishing Company.

He is also the host of iTunes most downloaded LGBT podcast "Gay Pimpin' With Jonny McGovern" which has more than 100,000 listeners monthly Currently he is performing around the country at hot spots like the SF Sketch Fest {with Conan O'Brien) and The Out Loud Festival {with Sandra Bernard) with his critically acclaimed new standup show 'Feelin' Really Faggity".
