Hope Unlimited Productions is a unique and creative company that strives towards excellence, truth and accuracy in the media. Productions are professional, creative, and inspirational, and include television, film, video, photography, music, and more!
Founder Lisa Darden’s hope is that her productions will powerfully impact lives with the healing and transforming love of a heavenly creator and turn the world upside down with Hope Unlimited.
Lisa’s love of communications began in Las Vegas when she completed her first college course in Television Production. Moving to Los Angeles, she had her first experience in film production in 1983 at the prestigious American Film Institute (AFI) where she worked as an Assistant to the Director in the Directing Workshop for Women (DWW).
AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women has been a major force in training women in narrative filmmaking since 1974. Just over 200 women have been given the opportunity to participate in this innovative and unique training program for tomorrow's directors. DWW alumnae include Anne Bancroft, Lee Grant, Ellen Burstyn, Dyan Cannon, Mary Kay Place and Joanne Woodward.
After L.A. came San Francisco and Marin County, her home for the next 12 years. She attended the College of Marin in San Anselmo, California and continued the gain experience in visual media by working as a professional camerawoman, editor, assistant director, floor director, producer, technical director, and also as a director on several projects. From behind-the-scenes directing of commercials, corporate and music videos to on-camera work as an actress and voice-over artist, Lisa has immersed herself in the communications industry.
Darden also worked for several years in the late 80’s and early 90’s with renowned Forensic Psychiatrist and author Dr. Martin Blinder as a personal assistant. Blinder became well known in the late 70’s for helping Dan White aquire a lighter sentence with the famed “Twinkie defense” after the murders of Gay rights advocate and first openly gay San Francisco Supervisor Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone.
It was while living and working in Marin County that Lisa experienced a profound spiritual awakening and was inspired to start her own production company called Hope Unlimited Productions. The documentary film For Such A Time As This is an outreach to a community she feels is being left behind by Christians. It was a beautiful and enlightening trip over the Golden Gate Bridge that catalyzed “the vision” that is now becoming reality.
During a time of great transition while still in post production on her Documentary film “For Such A Time As This”, Darden temporarily put her project on hold in order to help bring a community of talented and creative artists, musicians, filmmakers and inspirational speakers with similar visions and goals together. Armed with an “It Takes a Village” mentality she felt strongly that it was time to unite and that we would all be much more effective and powerful if we worked together and helped each other reach our goals.
HUPtalentandbooking.com was born out of this vision and aims to become a powerful force and resource in the entertainment industry around the world. Hope Unlimited Productions shares all of these same goals.
It is Darden’s belief that the world needs more HOPE. More dreamers and visionaries. People with high hopes and great expectations and a belief that anything is possible. People who encourage you to believe that when all hope is lost that nothing is impossible and that you can achieve anything. These are the people who change the world and inspire us all and remind us that Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all.
